Alan Pughsley, The Chief Constable of Kent takes an active interest in the work of Safer Kent and supports the charity in its aim of making Kent safer for all who live, work and visit Kent & Medway.
Chairman of Trustees
Having served for many years as the Medway Council representative, David Brake was elected to the position of Chairman of Trustees in 2017. With a long history of involvement in youth & community programmes as well as having served for many years as a Magistrate, he brings a wide understanding of the interaction between the judicial, local government and voluntary sector
Vice Chairman of Trustees
A former High Sheriff and still and active member of the High Sheriff's Association, Andrew Wells, has for many years ensured that the long history of partnership with between the High Sheriff's Association and the charity continues to this day. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Charity for many years.
Matthew Arnold was elected as a trustee in 2016 and continues the long association between Stagecaoch South Eastern and the Charity. With an impressive knowledge of the transport, road safety and education sector and how they interface, he provides useful insight into how Safer Kent can assist in these areas.
Elected to the Role of Trustee, Geraldine Allinson has a keen interest in Kent and its communities. An active Kent Ambassador and a director of local businesses, she brings a wide understanding of the communities we serve.
Jane Ashton, High Sheriff of Kent has taken on the role of Trustee, during her High Sheriff's Year in Office.
Mike Bax joined the Board of Trustees during his High Sheriff's Year in Office and was elected as a Trustee thereafter. A Kent-based farmer and businessman, he has a keen interest in Rural Crime and Community Safety.
Laura Cox has been involved with the charity for many years, starting as a volunteer Laura was elected as a Trustee in 2009. Laura supports the management of the charity and has a long and active interest in the History of Kent
A Qualifies Public Accountant with a strong commitment to the ideals of Safer Kent, Paul Curtis maintains the Financial responsibility as well as advises the Board on financial planning.
